It’s so peaceful tonight. It just rained, washing the evidence of the day away. I think the nicest noise to listen to is of frogs croaking. Since I’m the night-prowler, I appreciate frog croaks more than bird chirps. It makes you think of happy things. Things like…urm.. frogs making plans to have a tea party or something. “Ribbit ribbit.. Tonight at Kermit’s place for the biggest party event of the year!! Bring your own lily pads and womenfolk! Ribbit.. Over and out!”
Never mind that they might be trying to get a booty call. But hey. Sex is happy and fun too. :P
Sometimes I imagine them to be calling those far from home to get their ass back. “Mama and papa miss you! Do come back when you can~!”
You know, to make sure that the away frog knows he would be wanted back if he’s ever tired of being away from home too long. I think it’s nice.
I wonder if the message gets passed along the way from one frog to another like a long chain of frog messaging service. But I guess, if they do that, it would be like those stupid rumour mill kinda situation. One minute, you’re seen with someone at somewhere. Next minute, you’re supposedly dating him. The last thing you know, you were actually seen with your skirt up and his pants down in the supermarket. The usual crap.
Nah, not a good system to be using. Can’t trust many with messages. And they say not to kill the messenger… HAH!
But it would be nice to get a nice message once in a while. A call. A postcard. An sms. A letter. Anything. Even a frog chant. That makes you feel like home.
